improvement work. A study is being developed by the staff and <br />appropriate personnel and it appears evident that not all alleys <br />originally proposed for vacation will actually be vacated. A <br />more detailed report on the alleys can be relayed to the Commis- <br />sion by the next Commission meeting. <br />e. Wo kable Program. The Workable Program submission is in <br />Chicago u der review. Recertification of the program must be se- <br />cured bef;'re South Bend can expect funding of the Central Down- <br />town Proj ct, R -66. In working toward the goal of recertifica- <br />tion, the Mayor's Advisory Committee has been restructured and <br />meetings re now being held regularly. Also, the Mayor has <br />establish d a Central Relocation Bureau and has directed the Re- <br />developme t Department to develop the plans for effective opera- <br />tion of r location services for families living anywhere in the <br />City that have been asked to move because of City action. <br />The next regular meeting of the Redevelopment Commission <br />will be at 10 :30 A.M., September 5, 1968, in the office of the <br />Redevelop ent Department. <br />7.
