The staff has received four proposals from (1) Dr. <br />Edwin Rams of Urban Research Associates, (2) Real Estate <br />ResearcE Corporation, (3) Larry Smith & Company, Inc., J <br />(4) North Central Appraisal Company, for the reuse apprai- <br />sal work to be for the Central Downtown Project, R-66. <br />The Comaiission voted to take these proposals under advise- <br />ment an the selections to be made at the next Commission <br />meeting, on motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Kompar. <br />b. Approval was given for Mr. Bellinger to attend <br />a one day conference pertaining to federal programs and <br />other rElated studies at the Kokomo Campus of Indiana <br />University on Friday, May 10, 1968, on motion by Mr. <br />Kompar, seconded by Mr. Chenney. Other City personnel <br />are alsc attending. <br />c. A letter was received by the staff from Chas. W. <br />Cole & Son, dated April 25, 1968, as a follow up to a <br />meeting held with the engineering consultants, the con- <br />tractors, and the staff pertaining to construction work <br />in the LaSalle Park Project, R-57. It was noted some <br />concrete work has been defaced by the children of the <br />area to the point that substantial repairing will be <br />required. Upon being notified by the contractor that a <br />al <br />certain bonding compound could be used for patching, <br />which has been used elsewhere with success, and is <br />acceptable in that it blends well in appearance, the <br />Commission approved the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded by <br />Mr. Chemney, that the contractor be instructed to resurface <br />these places of defacement with the understanding that <br />Commiss on satisfaction must be the result or the work <br />would need to be replaced.
