NEW <br />BUSINESS <br />a. <br />The staff recommended issuance of <br />a Certificate of <br />Completion <br />to Howard <br />and Bonnie Harris, developers of Parcels 7,89 and <br />9, in the (CERTIFICATE <br />Sample St <br />eet Project, R -7, because the terms of the sale of <br />land (OF COMPLETION <br />have been <br />fully complied with: The Commission_ approved the <br />motion (FOR DEVELOPERS <br />by Mr. Ko <br />par, seconded by Mr. Koczan, that <br />the Certificate <br />of (OF PARCELS 7,8,9 <br />Completion <br />be executed and the "good faith" <br />deposit in.the <br />amount (Sample St., R -7 <br />of $1,524:16 <br />be returned to the developers. <br />b. Because of the shortage of federal funds, the Chicago RESOLUTION 157, <br />DHUD offi a has asked the South Bend Redevelopment Commission to INDUSTRIAL EX - <br />take an immediate stand as to whether or -not to carry out the PANSION PROJECT. <br />Industrial Expansion Project, Indiana R -56. Therefore, the Comm- R -56 <br />ission hereby adopted Resolution 157, which authorizes filing of <br />applicati n for the Loan and Grant for Indiana Project R -56, upon <br />the motio# by Mr. Koczan, seconded by Mr. Helmen. <br />C. It's that time of year for the Redevelopment Commission NEXT MEETING <br />to be sworn in for another term, and to organize. The Commission <br />unanimously agreed, in accordance with the By- Laws -of the Redevel- <br />opment Commission, that the next meeting will be a special meeting <br />at 3:00 P M., January 3,1967, for (1) the swearing in of the 5 <br />Commissio ers, (2) the Annual Organization Meeting, and (3) the <br />special m eting to conduct regular and all business of the <br />Commissio . Notices will be sent to this effect. <br />5. PROOESS REPORTS - <br />a. Relocation Report, LaSalle Park, R -57. As an explanation RELOCATION <br />of the ere ocation progress report, once the Redevelopment Depart REPORT, <br />ment has icquired a property, the family becomes part of the LASALLE PARK, <br />"Workload" for the Relocation staff. The staff reported that of R -57 <br />61 family s and ,3 individuals, 8 families have purchased homes; <br />3 families have rented private accommodations; 10 families have <br />relocated -themselves; 8 families have relocated in Public Housing <br />quarters; 7 families have moved without notifying the staff, and <br />the staff is obligated to find their whereabouts. Of the 3 indivi- <br />duals, 2 ave already been relocated. To recap, 29 families and 2 indi- <br />vidualsr-h ve.been relocated, and,32 families and 1 individual remain to <br />be reloca ed. <br />-3- <br />
