<br />b. DHUD Chicago Regional Letter No. 45, dated April 4, 1966, DHUD REGIONAL
<br />provides for federal participation in a retirement program for LTR #45 ON
<br />LPA employees. After review-by the Staff', the Redevelopment RETIREMENT
<br />Commission will consider the matter farther. In the past, PROGRAM
<br />federal. money was not available for retirement plans, other
<br />than social security.
<br />5. BIO PROPOSALS FOR REAL ESTATE, R -7
<br />The Redevelopment Commission has received an offer from a
<br />prospective redeveloper in the Sample Street Project, R -7, for
<br />Tract (b) which is-the last tract for sale. The tract is
<br />11.08 acres, and the offer is less than the present appraised
<br />price. The name and offer will be held until a formal offer is
<br />presen ed to the Redevelopment Department.
<br />6. NEW BUSINESS
<br />a. The Commission approved the acceptance and provided f'or
<br />execution of the Loan and Grant Contract for the LaSalle Park
<br />Project, R -57, by passing Resolution 128, upon the motion by
<br />Mr. Louis, and seconded by Mr. Koczan. The contract amounts-to
<br />a federal grant of $2,136,288, and the Redevelopment Depart-
<br />ment can borrow up to $2,483,808. The contract authorizes an
<br />additional $87,875 for relocation payments. The Redevelopment
<br />Attorn y and Staff have review the contract documents and
<br />find t em in order. Resolution 128 is attached and hereby
<br />made a part of these minutes.
<br />b. A letter has been received by the Redevelopment Depart-
<br />ment, collectively with 46 other LPA's, from the North Central
<br />Regional Council of the National Association of Housing and
<br />Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO), which will co- sponsor a two
<br />day Workshop on Annual Budget and Accounting System. Mr. Chong
<br />has be 4n asked to chair the Workshop in Minneapolis, Minnesota,
