<br />SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 257-
<br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, St. Joseph
<br />County, State of Indianaq,That it.is deemed necessary to improve-CORBYSTREET FROM THE,
<br />EAST END OF SAID STREET AS PLATTED AND LAID OUT IN MOREY'S ADDITION TO WALSH STREET.
<br />By grading the said street from property kine to property line and, con-
<br />structing cement curb and cement walks on both sides of said street* And such improvement
<br />is now ordered in accordance with the profile, details, drawings -and specifi6ations.on
<br />f.-'-le in the office of the Department of the Board of Public Works Of said City; and,
<br />such improvement is now ordered.
<br />The cost of said improvement; including the cost of street and alley inter-
<br />sectiond, shall be asses I sed upon the real estate abutting on said CORBY STREET all accord
<br />ing to the method and manner provided for in an Act of the General Assembly Of the Ststeff
<br />of Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations," approved March 6,1905,:
<br />and in accordance with and pursuant to the provisions of all amendatory and supplemental
<br />acts thereto passed,by the General Assembly of the State of Indi na. Assessmentsv if
<br />deferred, are to. be paid ' in ten equal annual installments, with interest at the rate of
<br />Six percent per annum. A Bond or bonds shall be issued to the contractor in payment Of
<br />such vork, unless the property owners pay said assessment before 'said bond or bonds: are
<br />Issued.. Under no circumstances shall the City of South Bend, be, or be held responsible
<br />for any sum or sums I due from said property owner or owners for said work, or for the
<br />collections of the same., or for the payment of a ny bond, bonds, certificate or certi—
<br />ficates, i sued to said contractor 'in payment for such work, except or such moneys as
<br />shall have been actually received by the City from the assessment's for such improvement,,
<br />or such moneys as said City is by said above entitled Act required to pay . All pro-
<br />ceedings had, and work done in the.making of said improvement,., assessment of property
<br />collection of assessments and issuance -of bonds therefor, shall be as provided for in
<br />s,,-.id above entitled Act and amendments thereto*
<br />Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 3rd. day of Mayl,1913
<br />and on the 10th. day Of MaY91913 in the Suth Bend ftily Times. The Board will give a
<br />hearing on this resolution in its office in the City Hall on the 13th. day of June.1913
<br />at 7:45 P.M.

<br />County, State of Indiana, That it is deemed necessary to improve HARRIS STREET -FROM FORD
<br />STREET TO THE NORTH LINE OF THE GRAND TRUNK RAILWAY COMPANIES RIGHT OF WAY*
<br />By the grading of saidstreet from propertyline to property" Tine and con-
<br />structing cement curb and cement walk on both si6l.es of said street. And such improvement
<br />is now ordered in accordance with the profile, details, drawings and specifications on
<br />file in the office of the Department of the Board of PubliC. Works of said City; and such
<br />improvements is now ordered.'.

<br />hearing on this resolution in its office in the City Hall on the 13tho day of June,
<br />1913 at 7:36 P.M.
