783 <br />Board met in regular session at 10 A.M. All members present. <br />Petition filed with the Board and read for grade, curb acid walk on Logan Street from Cushing <br />Streets to Scott. Street. The same was referred to the City Civil Engineerffor investigation.. <br />ORDER SELECTING THE KIND OF PAVEMENT. <br />Concerning the improvement of Kemble Avenue ° front Prairie Avenue to <br />.Ewing Avenue, in pursuant of Improvement Resolution No. 226.1913 the preliminary order for <br />said Improvement heretofore adopted is hereby confirmed. The Board now orders than so <br />much of said street be improved with vitrified brick laid on a gravel foundation and awards <br />the contract to HARRY N. BARNES," he :being the lowest and best bidder uponWABASH CLAY ON,GRAVEL <br />FOUNDATI ON. <br />Adopted this 23rd. day of April,1913. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS OTTO C. BASTIAN <br />F. E. BASTIAN <br />PRESIDENT. <br />On motion duly made and seconded, the following preamble and resolutions were <br />unanimously adopted: - <br />WHEREAS. This Board didon the llth. day of February 1913 deem it expedient and <br />of public utility to permanently improve HOWARD STREET between Leeper Ave. and Niles Ave. <br />by paving the roadway of the same. -and did on said date pass and adopted a resolution au— <br />thorizing said permanent improvement, and <br />WHEREAS. The City Engineer has prepared nd filed withthis Board a report showing <br />the number and location, as well as the material to be used and the manner of laying the same <br />of the service pipes, mains, conduits, laterals and connections.which are, or will be nec— <br />e ssary to accommodate the abutting property owners with gas, water ,heat,steam or any other <br />product for which any person, firm or corporation has been granted a franchise for sypply— <br />ing the citizens of the City of South Bend, Indiana, which report is as follows: <br />
