BID <br />ESTATE R -7 <br />Contact has been made with Mr. Heintzelman of United Beverage, UNITED BEVEL <br />who is ow interested in Parcel 3 due to possible railway access. INTEREST IN <br />It was tated that there is a utility easement on the east PARCEL 3. <br />boundar of Parcel 3. <br />'! <br />A-firm igreement was established on the purpose of the Redevelop- <br />ment Conmission, the South Bend- Mishawaka Area Chamber, and the <br />Committ e of 100, at a recent meeting with Messrs. Cole, Hartwig, <br />Wiggins and Chong, with discussion at some length on all <br />functions involving general improvement to South Bend. There <br />is a better understanding in the organizational setup that now <br />exists in the Chamber, and Mr. Wiggins was very impressed with <br />the mee ing. <br />7. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Upon the motion-of Mr. Louis, and seconded. by Mr. Komipar, <br />the Coimaission gave approval to invest $162,621.07 from the <br />District Capital Funds, to purchase U. S. Treasury Bills for a <br />period of six (6) months, because the site improvements in the <br />Chapin Street R -29 Project cannot be installed until next spring, <br />and this money can be used to earn interest. <br />b. A new mailing system has been effected for all city <br />departm nts, as of October 1, 1965.
