<br />a. Se retary Weaver, DHUD, Wash. D. C. ltr of May 8, 1967 to
<br />Redevelopm nt Dept., corresponding as Chairman of FNMA Board and
<br />cannot jus ify reducing mortgage on the Smith Homes. Mr. Bellinger
<br />reported t at all avenues of exploration have been tried and
<br />therefore here can be no relief from the mortgages.
<br />b. Chicago DHUD ltr of May 10, 1967, gives federal approval
<br />for the Di gnostic Survey Contract and Referral Service Contract
<br />for LaSall Park, R -57.
<br />c. A jersonal contact from Mr. Woodrow Frick, Indiana State
<br />Federation of Labor, Indianapolis, requesting that Mr. Bellinger's
<br />signature appear on an Agreement that the prevailing wage scale for
<br />various crafts will be paid for site improvements in the Chapin
<br />Street Project, R -29. This Agreement conforms with the wage scale
<br />submission in the bid documents for this project, and also has been
<br />approved'f r legal adequacy by Attorney Hammerschmidt.

<br />In order t3 relocate two families from the Place Homes into Public RELOCATION FI-
<br />Housing, tie staff proposed to pay the requirements of a security NANCIAL ASSIS-
<br />deposit of $50.00 each, and the first month's rent of $40.00 each, TANCE, LASALLE
<br />because thai families are unable to pay at this time. The deposit PARK, R -57
<br />is to be made in the name of the Redevelopment Department for
<br />refunding urposes. The families indicated they will attempt to
<br />repay the ent advance. Upon the motion by Mr. Kompar, seconded
<br />by Mr. Che ney, the .Commission approved said action, with a periodic
<br />referral b the staff to be made to these families.
<br />6. NEW BUSINESS
<br />a. The Commission approved Resolutions 177 and 178, which RESOLUTIONS 177
<br />authorizes the staff to submit to Chicago DHUD office, HUD Form AND 178, REQUEST
<br />6144, Request for Concurrence in Acquisition Prices, for certain FOR CONCURRENCE
<br />parcels in the LaSalle Park Project, R -57, upon the motion by IN ACQUISITION
<br />Mr. Kompar, seconded by Mr. Chenney. Resolution 177 applies to PRICES, LASALLE
<br />Parcel 9 -4 , and Resolution 178 applies to B. G. Smith parcels PARK, R -57
<br />identified as follows: 27 -1, 27 -2, 27 -3, 27 -4, 27 -5, 27 -6, 27 -7,

<br />Project, R-57, with the motion by Mr. Chenney, seconded by Mr. Kompar.
