<br />_,--Bids were opened on various, Street ,Under Improvement Resolution No. 151. The
<br />same were referred to the City Engineer for Tabulation.
<br />Release of James Nelson 10 yr. Bond on Laurel- Street ,a�pprroved.
<br />Whereas, James Nelson, as Principal, and lamer can bSu ety Company of New York
<br />as Surety, did on the 5th. day of June A.D. 1902 a xe cut e d and deliver to the City
<br />of South Bend, Indiana, a certain bond in the penal sum of Six Hundred .Beventy nine
<br />and 55/100 ($679.55)Dollars, by the terms of which instrument said Principal and
<br />said Surety guaranteed to said city the maintenance and repair of a,brick pavement
<br />on south Laurel Street from the South line of Washington Street to the North line of
<br />Division Street for a period of ten years from the date of seed bond viz: June 5th.
<br />1902, and whereas, said ten year period -of maintenance and repair has expired,
<br />NOW,THEREFORE, We, the undersigned, the Board of°Publie*Works of the -City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, acting for and on behalf of said City under authority duly
<br />conferred by law, do hereby release and dicharge said James Nelson, said Principal,.
<br />and the American Surety Company Of
<br />NOW York, said Surety, from any af.d all li—
<br />ability on said band so executed and delivered on said June 5th. 1902 to said City,
<br />and guaranteeing the maintenance: and repair of said South Laurel Street from the
<br />South line of Washington Street to the North line of Division Street, as aforesaid.
