R1 <br />7. <br />REPORTS <br />a. Site Improvements, LaSalle Park, R-57. The <br />rwo contractors, i. e., (1)for the excava- <br />tion work and (2) for the installation of <br />storm sewers, will begin Friday, November 3, <br />967, subject to weather conditions. <br />b. Demolition, LaSalle Park, R-57. Demolition <br />work is proceeding satisfactorily after a <br />slow beginning because of weather conditions <br />and machine failures. Additional equipment <br />has been moved in, and all vacant buildings <br />Iill be down by the end of this month. To <br />ate, approximately 35 structures have been <br />emolished. <br />c. Central Downtown Project, R-66. A meeting <br />with the planning consultant is being sche- <br />duled to review all the reports, maps, and <br />narrative statements in connection with the <br />Part I submittal to the Chicago federal office. <br />At this point the plans are all in draft <br />_0 <br />I rm, but with this meeting the rough edges <br />will be smoother. Within a few weeks the <br />plans will be presented formally to the Rede- <br />irelopment Commission, the Area Plan Commission, <br />4nd the Common Council. <br />The x1ext regular meeting of the Redevelopment <br />Comm' 'ssion will be at 10:30 A. M., November 16, <br />1967, in the office of the Redevelopment Depart- <br />ment. <br />On mOtion duly made and passed, meeting adjourned <br />at 11:06 A.
