Tie staff received approval to send a representa- IURA MEETING tive to tie Indiana Urban Renewal Association Meeting at NOV. 16 -17, 1967 Indianapolis, Indiana on November 16 -17, 1967, upon motion by Mr. Ko par, seconded by Mr. Helmen. b. The Industrial Expansion Project, R -56, is now at the proper stage to initiate 2nd and 3rd reuse appraisal contracts. With this in mind, and upon staff recommendation, the Commission aTroved the motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Ko par, to execute contracts with the two appraisers with the iighest qualifications, such as SRA and /or MAI designations. Selected appraisers were (1) Ron Gettel and Associates of Ft. Wayne, and (2) North Central Appraisal Company of South Bend. The cost of this work is not to exceed $1,800 per Contract. Urban Renewal procedures will be follow d in disposing of the land, and the sale will be to the de eloper with the best interests of the City, in this case Cummins Engine Co., Inc. c. Upon staff recommendation, the Commission gave approval to execute a contract with City Planning Associates to compile and collate the Part I Application for the Central Downtown Project, R -66, for the cost of $1,500, upon motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Kompar. The original planning contract was executed with CPA with the understanding that the Redevelopment Department staff would prepare the code items on relocation, disposition, land acquisition, and financing. This work has been completed by the staff. 7n order for the document to be uniform in format an printing, it will be better to have the staff's work reproduced by CPA who is better equipped to handle this pri ting work. -3- 2ND AND 3RD REUSE APPRAISERS SELECTED FOR INDUSTRIAL EXPANSION PROJECT, R -56 CONTRACT APPROVED FOR $1,500 WITH CPA, CENTRAL DOWN- TOWN PROJECT, R -66
