Tie staff received approval to send a representa- IURA MEETING <br />tive to tie Indiana Urban Renewal Association Meeting at NOV. 16 -17, 1967 <br />Indianapolis, Indiana on November 16 -17, 1967, upon motion <br />by Mr. Ko par, seconded by Mr. Helmen. <br />b. The Industrial Expansion Project, R -56, is now at <br />the proper stage to initiate 2nd and 3rd reuse appraisal <br />contracts. With this in mind, and upon staff recommendation, <br />the Commission aTroved the motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded <br />by Mr. Ko par, to execute contracts with the two appraisers <br />with the iighest qualifications, such as SRA and /or MAI <br />designations. Selected appraisers were (1) Ron Gettel and <br />Associates of Ft. Wayne, and (2) North Central Appraisal <br />Company of South Bend. The cost of this work is not to <br />exceed $1,800 per Contract. Urban Renewal procedures will <br />be follow d in disposing of the land, and the sale will be <br />to the de eloper with the best interests of the City, in <br />this case Cummins Engine Co., Inc. <br />c. Upon staff recommendation, the Commission gave <br />approval to execute a contract with City Planning Associates <br />to compile and collate the Part I Application for the <br />Central Downtown Project, R -66, for the cost of $1,500, <br />upon motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Kompar. The <br />original planning contract was executed with CPA with the <br />understanding that the Redevelopment Department staff would <br />prepare the code items on relocation, disposition, land <br />acquisition, and financing.
