the best and most appropriate level of care. The EAP is staffed by certified and credential human <br />services professionals who are sensitive to the needs of the individual. Individuals who take the <br />initiative to contact the EAP for assistance do so with the assurance that their calls will be treated <br />respectfully and confidentially. The direct services provided by the EA P are sponsored by BCRC. <br />In compliance with Public Law 100-690 (The Drug -Free Workplace Act), which applies only to <br />employers who have Federal grants of more than $100,000, any participant who is convicted of a <br />drug or alcohol violation occurring in the workplace and who is employed by a BCRC affiliated <br />employer must report this information to his/her immediate supervisor no later than five (5) days <br />after such conviction. The supervisor must report this information immediately to the funding <br />agency. <br />lmuc jjg_ <br />BCRC will provide an identification card to each participant which will reflect the results of the <br />Drug & Alcohol Screen Test from the laboratory. BCRC shall not assume nor bear any liability or <br />responsibility for the testing, the results, the certification or anything related to the foregoing. To <br />implement an appropriate and acceptable program, BCRC has adopted six (6) safeguards that reflect <br />the standards established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (1)[THS) and the <br />National institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) for testing mandated by the Nuclear Regulatory <br />Cormnission and Department of Transportation regulated entities.
