4. <br />On May 11 <br />1965, the Chicago URA office approved planning contract <br />AWARD <br />with City <br />Planning Associates, Inc. <br />URA felt we should get more <br />R -57 <br />involved in <br />the relocation work, for <br />LaSalle Park. The contract <br />PLANNING <br />stands at <br />$37,500, which the URA has <br />approved. We will have to <br />CONTRACT <br />add for a <br />rehabilitation study at a. <br />later date. <br />On recommendation of the staff, the Commission voted to award the <br />Planning Contract for R -57 to City Planning Associates, Inc., for <br />$37,500. The motion was made by Mr. Louis and seconded by <br />Mr. Kocza . <br />A check f4 $60,000 was received from URA as first funds for R -57. <br />Hanson En ineering has submitted plans which conform with the HANSON ENGR. <br />general a pearance of the neighborhood. All four sides of SUBMIT PLANS <br />building vill be brick with mosaic trim. Mr. Kompar moved and <br />Mr. Koczar seconded approval of plans as submitted, to fulfill <br />requireme is of award of sale voted by Commission on May 6, 1965. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />Purchase of furniture for office. The staff contacted three <br />firms for proposals to supply comparable office furniture. Bids <br />were reviewed and the staff recommended that Office Engineers' <br />figure of $905 be accepted for the furniture for the Assistant <br />Director and the Bookkeeper - Accountant. Additional furniture <br />and equipment need be purchased later. Mr. Kompar moved, and <br />Mr. Louis seconded that- furniture be purchased from Office <br />Engineers Motion was passed. <br />Drapery ideas and prices were reviewed and Sears' price of $425 <br />was recommended. Old drapes will be utilized, and new drapes <br />added where needed. Mr. Louis moved and Mr. Kompar seconded <br />motion to award purchase to Sears. Motion was passed. <br />It was reported that the staff wrote to Mr. Pajakowski to ask <br />that he p blicize the Redevelopment Commission desires to <br />contact a y locally qualified appraiser for the R -57 project. <br />To date nc one has called.the.Redevelopment staff. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />Sales of preliminary loan notes -for R -7 resulted in 8 bids. <br />National Bank and Trust Company bid of 2.10% with no premium <br />was low.
