R -57. <br />STREET & ALLEY <br />VACATIONS R -29 <br />SURVEY & PLAN- <br />NING APPROVAL <br />R -57 - #1 <br />Received from the Regional Office of HHFA the contract documents CONTRACT FOR <br />for the lanning Advance in the amount of $122,800 to commence ADVANCE R -57 <br />the plan ing fcr the first project in Indiana R -57 - LaSalle Park. <br />On motion by Mr. Louis, seconded by Mr. Kompar, the Commission RESOLUTION <br />unanimously authorized the approval of Resolution No. 103, NO. 103 <br />approving and providing for the execution of a, proposed contract IND. R -57 <br />for planning advance for surveys and plans for urban renewal PROJECT #1 <br />project under Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, <br />numbered Contract No. Indiana R- 57(A), by and between the City <br />of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment and the United States <br />of Ameri a. <br />Letter wbs received from Jesse L. Dickinson, Executive Director, LAND DISPOSI- <br />of the South Bend Housing Authority, expressing concern about TION <br />the removal of basement walls in the Chapin Street Project IND. R -29 <br />Indiana -29 area. It was reported that Mr. Dickinson has been <br />notified of the intent of full cooperation by the Redevelopment <br />Departme t regarding condition of land to be sold the Housing <br />Authorit . <br />5. BID FROPOSALS FOR REAL ESTATE INDIANA R -7 <br />Indiana jell Telephone Company has indicated interest in approxi- <br />mately f ur acres of land in the Sample Street Area. <br />Toloma Pizza Company expressed desire to purchase one -half to <br />one acrelof land in the Sample Street Area. <br />Mr. Hamm rschmidt received a proposal from Hanson Engineering <br />for a parcel of land 1401 x 214' for Disposition Parcel No. 1(h) <br />in the Sample Street Indiana R -7 Area. Action was deferred <br />subject to further review and recommendation by the staff. <br />6. NEW <br />On motion by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Louis, the Commission <br />approved the attendance of Mr. Chong, Mr. Nowak, one Commission- <br />er, and one councilman (should one be found who is interested in <br />going) to attend the North Central Annual National Assn Housing <br />and Redevelopment Officials meeting in Cincinnati, Ohio, May 9 -11, <br />1965.
