Gagnon stated that in <br />a price difference with an otherwise very desirable redeve- <br />he problem might be referred to the Committee of 100 to see <br />solution can be worked out. <br />It was decided to: <br />1. continue to run classified advertisement locally, as well <br />as expe imentally in larger cities such as New York, and Indianapolis,- <br />2, designate certain sections for potential investors on the <br />general terms and conditions approved by the HHFA. <br />The fol owing ideas were also discussed with generally favorable <br />opinion prevailing; <br />1. Care be exercised in reviewing building plans to make certain <br />that al developments are well designed. <br />2. Trips be made: to industrial developments in other cities to <br />explore and discuss promotional ideas.. <br />3. Report be made to the press on the efforts of various <br />organizations in South Bend to attract industry to the Sample Street <br />Area. <br />4. Methods by which the image of South Bend may be improved <br />generally were discussed.. <br />I <br />a. <br />b. <br />Meeting <br />Reference was made to the formation of a citizens committee <br />at the grass roots level for boosting sale of land in the <br />Sample Street Area. <br />Mr._Seybold mentioned the fact that.the Civic Planning <br />Association was working on citizenship participation in <br />improving the general image of South,Bend by emphasizing <br />the positive aspects of the community. <br />adjourned 5 p.m. <br />�6p,epllne M.
