Two bids were <br />received, with base bids as follows: <br />J. W. Werntz and Son, Inc. $216,000.00 <br />Mihm Enterprises, Inc.: $271,870.00 <br />Upon review of the submitted bid packages, both bids must be rejected, <br />The bid from J. W. Werntz and Son included a `Contractor's Non -Collusion and Non -Debarment <br />Affidavit' which was not properly notarized. After discussion with the Board attorney, that <br />omission requires the bid be rejected as non -responsive. <br />The Mihm Enterprise bid package includes a statement that they have `no apprenticeship <br />programs in place at this time' meaning they cannot meet the requirements set forth by the <br />City's `Responsible Bidder Ordinance', and the bid must be rejected. <br />The project will be re -bid subject to the building owner's schedule <br />Please call with any questions (3057) <br />�J!e ° , V,,W <br />�'50o,m-d qf tea <br />
