IV. PR GRESS REPORT - Continued <br />On motion made by Mr. Helmen, seconded by Mr. Wiggins EVICTION <br />and un imously carried, the Commission concurred that NOTICE <br />eviction notice be served on tenant in the Chapin Street R-29 <br />R---29 Area, Parcel No. 4--2, due to non - payment of rent. <br />A proposed contract for engineering services in the`Chapin ENGINEER- <br />Street Project was referred to the LPA Attorney for study ING R--29 <br />and recommendation. <br />The Co fission decided to ask the owner of Parcel 15 -6 PARCEL <br />in the Sample Street Project to rebuild the small office 15 -6 <br />building to acceptable standards, or else it will acquire <br />the parcel. <br />Representatives <br />of the LaSalle Park District <br />Council <br />LA SALLE <br />inquired <br />about the status of the Eligibility <br />Study that, <br />PARK <br />was made <br />there. They were informed that the <br />report was_- <br />DISTRICT <br />transmitted <br />to URA for approval, and that word should be <br />R -41 <br />received <br />within approximately two to four weeks. <br />On motion <br />made by Mr,. Helmen, seconded by Mr. <br />Wiggins and <br />CONTRACT <br />unanimously <br />carried, the Commission approved <br />the Contract, <br />WITH LPA <br />for Leg 4l <br />Services of Bruce C. Hammerschmidt, <br />attorney. <br />ATTORNEY <br />The Coy fission approved the printing of 500 copies of the <br />annual eport for the Redevelopment Department. <br />Mr. Nowak discussed the feasibility of asking the South <br />Bend Tribune to run a story on some of the problems in <br />the Chapin Street Project. Donald Wiggins was appointed <br />to explore this possibility. <br />Mr. Sucher reported that the Trustees' meeting with the <br />Commission held for the purpose of discussing ways and <br />means of accelerating industrial redevelopment in the <br />Sample Street Project Area (Innerbelt Industrial Park) <br />will be held February 17, 1964, 3 :30 p.m., at the Rede -- <br />velopme t Commission Office. <br />-5- <br />ANNUAL <br />REPORTS.,. - <br />PUBLIC <br />RELATIONS <br />MISC. <br />MEETINGS <br />
