This project consisted of nearly one mile of both roadway
reconstruction and new road construction over new terrain. The
project included construction of a new roundabout configuration
located on a new alignment near the existing 146th Street and Ditch
Road intersection. In addition to the roundabout, 146th Street was
reconstructed from Springmill Road to the new roundabout alignment.
A new pavement section was constructed to support the growing
traffic demands in the area. Bret assisted the County in defending
a very difficult situation created by pavement policy changes by
INDOT during the project. As part of Bret's hard work and detail in
documentation, he saved Hamilton County approximately $550,000 on
a change order claim
on the 146th and
Ditch Road project.
New multi -use paths
and concrete curbs
enhanced the area
for pedestrian use
and made the area
safer for all modes
of transportation.
The new terrain
roadway project
incorporated
approximately
500,000 cubic yards
of borrow material
obtained from two
on -site borrow pits.
I1ANGELINE ROAD R10LJ N TA B,110LJT,
T'ARMELa, P4. Construction Project Manager.
The project consisted of the reconstruction of a
two-lane urban bridge over Little Cool Creek and
roundabout intersection of Rangeline Road and
Smokey Row Road. A cemetery, located within
close proximity of the project, created special
concerns for limited right-of-way access for
the construction of the project as well as major
existing utilities including a power substation
which required constant communication and
supervision. Additionally, as the first component
of future Rangeline Road updates, this "Fast
Track" project was completed in 12 months.
LETTER OF INTEREST TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ] UNITED CONSULTING PAGE 3
