September 24, 2019
City of South Bend Board of Public Works
227 West Jefferson Boulevard, Suite 1316
South Bend, Indiana 46601
Dear Board of Public Works:
;%
The reconstruction of Olive Street will play a fundamental role in the improvement
of traffic mobility for people who frequent the area. This roadway is a heavy haul
route and it requires durable, heavy duty pavement to accommodate the traffic.
With both residential and commercial businesses lining the corridor, we are mo-
tivated by the breadth of stakeholders that this project will serve. By the same
token, we are confident that our history of inspecting similar projects, combined
with our familiarity of the South Bend area and expertise in managing communica-
tions among surrounding stakeholders, will produce maximum efficiency and final
success for the project.
Daily work will be conducted by our dedicated and local RPR, Scott Randle, who is
seasoned with transportation project administration experience in the South Bend
area. Through extensive local experience, Scott and our entire inspection team
developed an in-depth understanding of the entire area, became acquainted with
local traffic patterns, and established productive relationships with surrounding
stakeholders.
"
Stakeholders will be served by Scott's attention to detail as PM/PE/RPR and his
priority to keep them up to date. He will provide weekly project forecasts, com-
municate regularly with residents and businesses (including via social media), and
participate in City and public meetings. Our team will devote effort and resources
to lay out a public outreach plan and maintenance -of traffic plan that is tailored to
needs of area residents and businesses.
During this transformative construction process, American Structurepoint will steer
your project through any hurdles and serve as a seamless extension of your staff.
N,
Our knowledge of the project area, experience, and the depth of our inspectionapy
team will facilitate a positive experience for all stakeholders involved, resulting in
 n
the comprehensive execution of your project goals.
Very truly yours,
American Structurepoint, Inc.
M. David Mohler II, PE, LEED AP
Vice President
