CHAPIN ST. INDIANA R -29 RELOCATION <br />Mr. Suc er reported on preliminary discussions with Mr. Wm. J. Brown, <br />Executi7e Director of the South Bend Urban League and Hering House <br />Communi y Center, Inc. about entering into a contract with Urban <br />League o handle the relocation of families and businesses and <br />manage m nt of acquired properties in the Chapin Street clearance <br />area, On motion made by Mr. Place, seconded by Mr. Koczan and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission instructed Mr. Baer and Mr. <br />Sucher to draw up a,.contract for submission at the next meetingcf, <br />both the Urban League Board and the Redevelopment Commission. <br />IV. IND. R -29 ACQUISITION OPTIONS - C. C. FRY <br />On motion made by Mr. Koczan, seconded by Mr. Place and unanimously <br />carried the Commission approved the hiring of C. C. Fry to work at <br />securing options on the Chapin Street properties on a halftime basis <br />at a salary of $3,600 a year, inasmuch as Mr. Fry did similar work on <br />the Sample Street Project. <br />-2- <br />
