ROGRESS REPORT (Continued) <br />unitslin the area. <br />The Commission was informed that the Urban Redevelopment SALARY <br />Department will need a determination from the Commission, SCALES <br />approved by the Urban Renewal Administration, that the <br />salary scales paid by the department are comparable to <br />local public practice where applicable, and comparable to <br />salaries for similar positions in other cities in the <br />regi6r where no local comparable positions exist. The <br />Commission will take action on this at the next meeting. <br />Mrs. C�rtis futher stated rates would be $3.50 for the banquet <br />and pr gram, $1.00 for the program only. <br />As a r <br />the s <br />the Re <br />Presid. <br />second <br />:sult of the Federal Audit, the Commission approved ACCOUNT - <br />jning of the Contract for Accounting .Services between ING <br />ievelopment Department and M. R -7 <br />submit <br />the necessary documents for the Commission to <br />LAND <br />further <br />consider its bid of 23.7 per square foot for <br />BIDDER <br />80' x <br />170' of land in the Sample Street Project Area, <br />Ind. <br />-7, immediately north of the Model_C.overall. parcel -. <br />,The Commission <br />decided to study the Contract for Pro- <br />CENTRAL <br />fessi <br />nal and Technical Services for a prototype commer- <br />AREA <br />cial rehabilitation <br />study to be done in the South Bend <br />IND. R -39 <br />Central <br />Area. <br />Mrs. Curtis <br />reported to the Commission that both the <br />HHFA <br />Mishawaka <br />and South Bend Mayors will declare the week <br />ADMINIS- <br />of January <br />6th Housing Week, which will be highlighted <br />TRATOR <br />by the <br />appearance of Dr. Robert C. Weaver, HHFA Adminis- <br />trator, <br />at a banquet sponsored by the South Bend- Mishawaka <br />Citizens <br />Fair Housing Committee on January 10th, 6 p.m. <br />The program <br />for the week will include a radio and television <br />interviews <br />on Housing in South Bend and Mishawaka on Jan- <br />uary 8th. <br />Mr. Sucher was selected to appear at this inter- <br />view. <br />January <br />9th, there is to be open house at the Plaza for the <br />public. <br />Thursday, January 10th, will be the dinner at which <br />time <br />.
