I19DUSTRIAL LAND BID OPENING <br />On July 13, 1962, the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelop - <br />ment published in the South Bend Tribune, The Record, and the <br />August, 1962, issue of The National Real Estate Investor (Magazine) <br />a noti e of sale of industrial land. Proof of publications is <br />presen ed and ordered filed. <br />Sealed offers under the proposal were to be received at the office <br />of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission up to 11:00 o'clock A.M., <br />Central Daylight Time, on the 20th day of September, 1962. It now <br />being after 11;00 o'clock A.M. on said date, the following bids <br />were opened and examined: <br />1. Bid from Michael B. Lynch, dated September 20, 1962, for the <br />purchase of approximately 30,000 square feet at 24 cents a <br />sq are foot for a total purchase price of $7,200. Submitted <br />with signed proposal is Treasurer's Check of the First Bank & <br />Tr st Company in the sum of $720. <br />2. In addition, there is also a bid by David S. Subar on behalf <br />of Model Coverall Service, Inc. of Grand Rapids, Michigan, <br />of eying to purchase 13,600 square feet at a price of 23.7 <br />ce is per square foot for a total purchase price of $3,223.20 <br />an submitted with a proposal is a certified check of the <br />bi der certified by the Old Kent and Trust Company of Grand <br />Ra ids, Michigan, for $322.32. <br />The Co ission, by a motion made by Mr. Williams, seconded by <br />Mr. Ko zan and unanimously carried, took the proposed bids under <br />advisement and requested that both bidders submit form H -6004 as <br />requir d by the HHFA regulations. <br />V. RESOLUTION NO. 50 <br />The Commission's attention was directed to the fact that certain <br />resolutions previously adopted and followed as a matter of policy <br />were not shown in the official minutes of the meetings,of the <br />Redevelopment Commission. Said resolutions were as follows: <br />1.' That mileage'allowance for all travel by private car on. - <br />Commission-business be compensated at 10 cents per mile, said <br />pa ent conforming to the practice of all departments of the <br />City of South Bend. -Said resolution-is given full ' retro - active <br />validity to March 24, 1961. <br />-3- <br />
