VIII. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 48 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY CONTROLLER TO <br />NOTIFY SUCCESSFUL BIDDER ON PRELIMINARY LOAN NOTE NO. 2 <br />TO BE SOLD JULY 24, 1962. <br />The Executive Director called the attention of the Commission to <br />the fact that an advertisement had been placed in The Bond Buyer, <br />offering for sale preliminary loan notes, 2nd Series, A, in the <br />princi al amount of $1,375,000, guaranteed by the United States <br />Government These advertisements called for sealed bids to be <br />opened on July 24, 1962, 12 P.M., Central Daylight Time, in the <br />presen e of the City Controller, Mr. Edwin L. Davies. <br />Mr. Su her stated that under the procedure outlined by the HHFA, <br />the Ci y Controller would notify the successful bidder on the <br />preliminary loan notes, after first securing approval of the HI-TA. <br />On motion made by Mr. Koczan, seconded by Mr. Williams, and unani- <br />mously carried, the following resolution was adopted: <br />Ix. <br />RESOLVED that the City Controller be and is hereby <br />authorized to notify the successful bidder or bidders <br />on the preliminary loan notes to be sold on July 24, <br />1962. <br />PROGRESS REPORT <br />Mr. Sucher reported that on site improvements for the <br />Sample Street Indiana R -7 Project since we did not get <br />bids on Part B of the Contract, we have readvertised <br />for that part of the contract; the bid opening will be <br />at the next meeting, August 2nd. <br />Tentative plans were being proposed to Mr. Oberfell, <br />Chairman of the Mayor's Citizens Committee of Community <br />Improvement to call a meeting of the committee on <br />July 31 at 7:30 p.m. <br />SAMPLE ST. <br />SITE IMPROVE- <br />MENT <br />MAYOR'S <br />CITIZENS <br />COMMITTEE <br />Mr. Bi licki, Relocation Supervisor, reported to the RELOCATION <br />Commis ion.that to date 237 families have been reloca- REPORT <br />ted as of the first of this month from the Sample Street <br />Indian R -7 Area. <br />The Redevelopment Commission, on motion made by Mr. Koczan, DEMOLITION <br />seconded by Mr. Place, and unanimously carried, approved TIME <br />the extension of thirty (30) days, from the date demoli- EXTENSION <br />tion wits originally to be completed, on parcels: 9 -27 <br />i <br />805 Ch pin Street; 11 -11 739 Sample, 851 -853 Prairies <br />12-36 1041 Sample St. located in the Sample Street Pro- <br />ject I diana R -7 Area. <br />ma <br />
