VI. <br />(Continued) <br />All eople that have moved out of the project area have <br />been contacted .regarding delinquent rent and the results <br />have been compiled and action will be taken in each case. <br />Sinc the workload is at the present time 24 families, <br />4 si gles and 3 commercials, an intensive effort can be <br />made to relocate problem families into standard housing. <br />Mr. Bielicki <br />further reported that while attending the <br />BOARDED UP <br />NAHRO <br />Conference in Washington, D. C., he had opportu- <br />FHA UNITS - <br />nity <br />to discuss the boarded up FHA units in the LaSalle <br />LASALLE <br />Park <br />Area with Mr. Showell, FHA Property Management <br />PARK <br />Director. <br />Mr. Showell stated the reason the FHA does <br />DISTRICT <br />not <br />ant to rent the properties in the LaSalle Park is <br />that <br />they have brought the units up,to sales standard by <br />l <br />spending <br />approximately $700 on each building. When the <br />original <br />request was made for these properties to be <br />rented <br />and management by a local realtor, this had not yet <br />been <br />done. He stated these properties could be sold to <br />public <br />housing at reduced rate. Mr. Williams made a <br />motio <br />that this information be submitted to the local <br />Housi <br />g Authority over the.signature of the president of <br />the C <br />mmission. Mr. Koczan seconded the motion. <br />Mr. Baer reported that condemnation suits have been filed CONDEMNA- <br />by his office against the following property owners: TION SUITS <br />Louis & John Hartman, 2 -6; Arthur Batchelder, 2 -18; Lee <br />Hawkins, 5 -6, and Mrs. Emilia Bilinski, 11 -10. <br />The Commission authorized Mr. Baer, LPA Counsel, to file SUIT <br />suit against Arthur Townsend, parcel 12 -10, for possess- AGAINST <br />ion and back rental. A.
