One crew will begin removing and labeling the odd number window sashes for restorations while another crew will board up the openings. The boarding up of every other window opening will help retain some natural light for any on -site work. We will have one crew restoring the sashes in our heated shop and re -installing as completed with the other crew restoring frames/sills prior. The restoration of the remainder of the sashes and openings will follow. The steps for the sash restoration is as follows: Remove sashes from openings, label sashes, transport to our shop, remove any existing hardware, remove glazing compound with infrared heat, remove and label glass location, restore sashes using epoxy consolidation methods or replace members as needed, prime sashes, reinstall existing glass or replace, install new glazing compound, paint, install weather stripping, and reinstall in opening with hardware.
