VII. <br />RESS REPORT <br />Commission was informed of a telegram received <br />Mayor Bruggner from President John F. Kennedy <br />arding the order for elimination of all delays <br />,cooperation by federal agencies with local <br />horities to get construction under way on Urban <br />,ewa1 projects. <br />LINDEN SCHOOL <br />T e Commission authorized Mr. Sucher to visit the TRAVEL <br />r gional office of the Urban Renewal Administration <br />i Chicago for a progress report on the application <br />o the Linden School Project. <br />Commission also approved Mr. Sucher's request <br />attend a meeting on February 9, of the Urban <br />,ewal Directors in the State of Indiana, for the <br />pose of discussing legislation being drafted in <br />State which are of vital concern to Urban Renewal. <br />Mr. Louis reported a meeting of the Relocation Com- COMMITTEES <br />m'ttee held on February 2, and informed the Commis <br />s'on of the commendable job which the members are <br />doing in soliciting assistance from churches and <br />various organizations for contributions of furniture <br />and/or money for the families. Also, canvassing in <br />me City is being done to locate and inspect suitable <br />r ntal units. <br />M . Williams announced a meeting of the Planning Com - <br />m'ttee to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday Evening on <br />y b..' 16 at the office of the Commission. <br />Mrs. Eva Heck commenced employment with the Commis- <br />sion on February 6, 1961 as an addition to the <br />staff in the newly created position of Acquisition <br />Clerk. Mrs. Heck will assist the Bookkeeper in <br />Z d'scharging these additional duties and receive an <br />a nual compensation of $3600. <br />-5- <br />PERSONNEL <br />
