MESO L,WTRGN Mo. 2 5 <br />RESOLU ION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, GOVERN- <br />ING BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT, <br />RECONF RMING THE SALARIES OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND ASSISTANT <br />DIRECTOR. <br />WHEREAS, on July 11, 1957, the Commission adopted a budget, which, <br />among Other items, included a salary for an Executive Director of $15, 000 /year; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, this salary was determined in accordance with local public <br />practice, and after inquiries from other cities regarding salary scales for persons <br />with the desired qualifications, after advertising the position in professional <br />journaLc and screening applicants for three months; and <br />VqHEREAS, in October, 1957, the Commission appointed an Executive <br />at the above salary, <br />3W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />ion that the Commission now reconfirms its previous actions in this <br />matter, and determines that the salary of the Executive Director, which each <br />year since has been approved by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, <br />The Common Council, County Tax Adjustment Board and State Tax Board, shall <br />continue to be $15,000 per year. This action is taken in view of the fact that <br />all tec nical Survey & Planning work is handled by the Executive Director and <br />Assistant Director, and the Local Public Agency thus saves substantial sums <br />otherwise spent for Survey & Planning contracts. For the same reasons, the <br />Commi Sion also reaffirms the salary of the Assistant Director (Principal Plan- <br />ner) at $8,500 per year. <br />ADOPTED at the regular meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Com- <br />mission held on October 6, 1960, at the office of the Commission, 129 West <br />Colfax Avenue, _South Bend, Indiana. <br />(SEA <br />A <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT, COMMISSION <br />
