]RESOIL MiTIION N®. 133 <br />WHEREAS, comprehensive studies of the Sample Street <br />Redevelopment Area have been undertaken by both the Redevelopment <br />Department and the City Plan Commission of the City of South Bend, <br />as well as by private consultant and <br />W HERE AS, all of these studies indicate that the area is <br />unsuitable for residential reuse, and that industrial and commercial <br />land uses are best suited for the area, and <br />W H E R E A S, there is a shortage of high quality industrial land <br />in the ity of South Bend; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the <br />South end Redevelopment Commission, Governing Body of the City of <br />South end, Department of Redevelopment, that the C o m m i s s i o n <br />considers the redevelopment of the Sample Street Project Area for non- <br />residential uses necessary for the proper development of the City of <br />South Bend. <br />SEAL <br />Atte <br />SOUTH BENEY REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />Adopted May 5, 1960 <br />
