Place, President. <br />Commissioners present and answering to roll call: <br />Virgil A. Place <br />Fred J. Helmen <br />Clyde E. Williams, Sr. <br />James G. Louis <br />Frank G. Koczan <br />Absent: None <br />The President declared a quorum present. <br />Also Pres nt: Ervin Purucker, Chairman, Advisory Committee, <br />Howard Park Neighborhood Improvement Project <br />Mrs. Guy Curtis, Secretary, Board of Redevelopment <br />Trustees <br />Fred Baer, Attorney <br />Henry Sucher, Director <br />Minutes o the Meeting of 2 July were approved as mailed, upon motion made by <br />Mr. Louis, seconded by Mr. Helmen, and unanimously carried. <br />The following business was discussed: <br />(1) REPORT ON HOWARD PARK NEIGHBORHOOD IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT <br />Mr. Ery n Purwcker,' Chairriian, Advisory Committee; Howard Park Neighborhood <br />Improvement Project, gave a report on the progress of the neighborhood. A door -to- <br />door inspection of the homes in the area, on a voluntary basis, is meeting with <br />moderate success. Bad weather last winter, and a shortage of inspection personnel, <br />have slowed down the program. <br />
