There are approximately <br />400 families involved in all, and we are 100% responsible for their reloca- <br />tion. <br />At present, the work of the Relocation Specialist would consist of inter- <br />viewing families whose residences are condemned by the Building Depart- <br />ment and working with realtors in their relocation, and later in fulfilling <br />our needs of relocation in the Sample Street Area. Any work pertaining <br />to the Sample Street Area will be reimbursed 2/3 by the Federal Govern- <br />ment <br />After a brief, but informative interview of Vernetta Nowlin, Mr. Koczan <br />advised her the Commission would notify her of its decision after the next <br />monthly meeting in February. <br />3. O®MTSiIING GIR DIIligiANCE <br />Attorney Fred Baer brought up the fact that some of the councilmen were <br />conce rned over some aspects of the proposed Housing Ordinance. <br />Mr. ucher had explained to the Council that the new Housing Ordinance <br />would make slum prevention efforts more effective, and also was needed <br />to m4qet federal requirements. <br />Mr. aer and Mr. Sucher thought the Commission could aid in this respect <br />by pa sing a resolution adoption of the ordinance. <br />
