REDEVELOPMENT COMM'N
Regular Meeting _
10 Ju4y 1958
3:00 P.M.
Redevelopment Comm'n
129 West Colfax Avenue
ssioners Present: Frank Koczan, James Louis, Clyde Williams, Sr.
Virgil Place, Fred Helmen
Also resent: Attorney - Fred Baer
Plan Director - Robert Huff
Executive Director - Henry Sucher
The Meeting was called to order by Mr. Frank Kocz.an, President. Mindes -of
the Meting of June 5 were approved as mailed. The following business was
discussed:
1. AJ)DITION OF RELOCATION SPECIALIST TO 1959 BUDGET
Mr. Sucher had previously discussed this situation with the Mayor, and the Mayor
agree a that this additional staff member would be required in 1959. His would
be a centralized office servicing the displaced families from the housing projects,
and those displaced by the Building Department inspection program, besides
doing the relocation planning in connection with the project.
The hiring of this specialist should be done by January 1959 because an early
subm ssion of relocation information is required by the Federal people in
1959. A salary of $6, 000 was thought sufficient for a competent person, and
was tentatively approved by the City vontroller.
The ommissioners unanimously approved the hiring of the additional staff member
at the quoted salary and starting date.
2. RONT PAYMENT AMENDMENT
A motion was made by Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. Place and unanimously
carri d for an amending of a decision made at a Meeting held on January 2, 1958.
The amendment was as follows:
for space at 129 W. Colfax Avenue shall be paid in full by the
velopment Commission for the year of 1958, and on a 50150
with the Planning Commission (which occupies 500/6 of the
d space) for each following year, including 1959.
