South Bend Central Development Area <br />(2) continued... <br />this additional square footage should be <br />counted and are willing to concede the <br />additional value to the Martins. <br />Legal counsel has prepared a form of <br />contract and Resolution No. 2393 <br />authorizing approval of the counter offer. <br />Staff recommends accepting it. Staff would <br />like to close before November 13. <br />Mr. Peczkowski asked if the rush is so they <br />don't have to pay property taxes. Ms. <br />Laurent responded that the intent is to <br />prevent them from having to take out a loan <br />to pay property taxes and then receive the <br />city's payment days later with which to pay <br />the taxes. <br />Mr. King made a motion to approve <br />Resolution No. 2393 accepting the counter <br />offer from Foster and Linda Martin in the <br />amount of $109,681.54 for property at 513 S <br />Michigan St. Mr. Downes seconded the <br />motion. The vote was four to one with Mr. <br />Peczkowski opposed. The motion carried. <br />C. Airport Economic Development Area <br />There was no business in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />D.
