AMERESCO
n ( u d, 6."rc V Sum
uirVt4 at ; ILuu e.
Ow,,h,m;apdhl . plrrdmn,l $6250
Ms. Therese Dorau
Office of the Board of Public Works
227 West Jefferson, Suite 1316
South Bend, IN 46601
RE: Response to Request for Qualifications — South Bend Fire Department Solar PV
Dear Ms. Dorau,
We at Ameresco would like to take this opportunity to formally respond to your Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) for a Solar PV installation at the South Bend Fire Station located at 1222 S.
Michigan St. Attached herein you will find one (1) copy of our Non -Collusion and Non -Debarment
Affidavit and four (4) copies of our response to this RFQ. We hope you find that Ameresco not
only has the ability to develop and timely construct this particular installation cost-effectively, but
that we have the wherewithal to wrap this project into a more holistic evaluation of the site's
energy needs. It is our intention to assist the City of South Bend with this project as well as to
identify potential opportunities at the location for greater energy savings through technology
improvements and behavioral modifications.
We would like to draw your attention to several points where Ameresco differentiates from our
competition.
• Cost effective (initial estimates at the location of $2.356 per watt)
• History and experience in the energy efficiency and renewable energy space
• Technology agnostic (we make recommendations but ultimately you make the decisions on
product and vendors used throughout the process)
• Focus on customer service by empowering our project management team and guaranteeing
results
• Professionalism is unmatched (showcased by our follow through)
• Innovation (bi-facial modules and microgrid exploration for resiliency at the fire station)
We applaud the City of South Bend for having the forward -thinking approach to investigate the
potential of solar power at this location. Thank you for the opportunity to take part. Please do
not hesitate to reach out should you have any questions with our submittal.
Sincerely,
- /., ': _ T
Travis Murphy
Account Executive, Ameresco
(317) 418-3507
