RESOLU' <br />BODY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 29 <br />ION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, GOVERNING <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT, <br />ZING APPROVAL OF PROPOSED CHAPIN STREET CLEARANCE PROJECT. <br />REAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission has been <br />advised that representatives of HHFA would be in South Bend within <br />the next few days to determine whether the proposed Chapin Street <br />area, ounded by Scott Street, Western Avenue, the New York Central <br />Railro d and Laurel Street, would qualify as a Redevelopment Area, <br />N W THEREFORE, on motion duly made, seconded, and unanimously <br />passed it was <br />SOLVED: That the Commission adopt a resolution whereby it <br />pledges its cooperation in clearing and acquiring the Chapin.Street <br />Area biEtween the Plaza Apartments, Oliver Playfield, Wk�;stern Avenue <br />and thE New York Central main line, provided the City of South Bend, <br />acting through its Common Council and the South Bend Housing Author- <br />ity, d cides to use this site and other land to the West thereof, <br />known s the Oliver Playfield for public housing and related public <br />uses. <br />ADOPTED <br />at.a, <br />special <br />meeting <br />of the <br />South Bend <br />Redevelopment <br />Commis <br />ion held <br />on March <br />28, 1961, <br />at the <br />office of <br />the Commission, <br />129 <br />(Seal) <br />ATTEST: <br />Henry <br />Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. <br />SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, <br />GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />, Executive Director <br />
