They were asked to give <br />us a letter showing the Commission that the Redevelopment <br />Depar ment is co- insured before we return the executed <br />lease <br />Upon motion made by Mr. Koczan, seconded by Mr. Williams ECONOMIC <br />and unanimously carried, the Commission signed the con- STUDY <br />tract with Hammer and Company Associates, Inc. covering <br />Project Indiana R- •39(FS) for all phases of economic. <br />studi s. <br />Mr. John Kagel presented an executed contract for Per - DOWNTOWN <br />sonal Services between Downtown South Bend Council, Inc. COUNCIL <br />and Hiamer and Company Associates, Inc. for the Economic <br />Study for Downtown South Bend to the Commission, which, <br />toget er with the contract just signed by the Commission <br />with he Hammer firm, will cover the Economic Study of <br />the C ntral Area. <br />Mr. Sucher reported to the Commission that it has been LAND <br />recommended to him that the Redevelopment Commission DISPOSAL - <br />retain an industrial realtor to help in land disposal REALTORS <br />of the Sample Street Project Ind. R -7. He suggested <br />that he Commission announce a policy of paying com- <br />missi n to realtors who refer customers to us. This <br />is to be taken up at the next meeting. <br />Mr. William J. Brown, Executive Director of the South MR. NELSON <br />Bend Urban League, requested that the commission meet C. JACKSON, <br />with Mr. Nelson C. Jackson of New York, the associate URBAN <br />director for the National Urban League. The Commission LEAGUE <br />agree to meet with Mr. Jackson Wednesday, 10:30, <br />immed'ately preceding the special meeting, October 24. <br />Meeting adjourned 12010 p.m. <br />James <br />G.
