RESOL <br />TO B <br />RESP <br />fore <br />rION #58 <br />PION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT, <br />CNG SALE OF LAND IN THE CHAPIN STREET PROJECT INDIANA R -29 <br />2D OF PARK COMMISSIONERS AND THE SOUTH BEND HOUSING AUTHORITY, <br />rI VELY . <br />the South Bend Redevelopment Commission has hereto- <br />the redevelopment of the Chapin Street Project <br />Indiana R -29, and <br />proje <br />and <br />, Part One of the Loan and Grant Application for said <br />has been approved by the Housing and Home Finance Agency, <br />, the Board of Park Commissioners of the City of South <br />Bend, fat a regular meeting held on the 14th day of November, 1961, <br />duly adopted a resolution that it will purchase 9.5 acres of the <br />and <br />Street Project from the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, <br />, the South Bend Housing Authority, at a regular meeting <br />held o� the 21st day of November, 1961, also adopted a resolution <br />agreeing to purchase from the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />tely 10.5 acres of the Chapin Street Project, and <br />, the purchases by the Board of Park Commissioners and <br />the South Bend Housing Authority will provide for a sale of all of <br />e land in the project area, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: That the South <br />Bend Redevelopment Commission sell to the Board of Park <br />Commissioners, as soon as practicable after acquisition and <br />site clearance 9.5 acres described approximately as follows: <br />The entire portion of the project area lying West of <br />Chapin Street in the City of South Bend, County of <br />St. Joseph, State of Indiana, excluding that portion <br />set aside for street purposes. <br />8 RTHER RESOLVED: That title to said real estate will be <br />t ansferred, subject to the following covenants against <br />r cial restrictions: The Purchaser, its successors and <br />a signs shall (1) not discriminate, upon the basis of race, <br />c lor, creed or national origin, in the sale, lease or <br />r ntal or in the use or occupancy of the Property, or any <br />i provements erected or to be erected thereon, or any part <br />-1- <br />
