Instructions shall be given to <br />the employee prior to retesting. <br />c. Er�ra ee Instruction rior to retestin <br />Consume no fluids after 9:00 PM the night before the <br />test. <br />ii, Limit fluid intake to a minimum the day of the test. <br />iii. It is the employee's responsibility to monitor intake of <br />fluids to prevent another dilute specimen. <br />d. If the employee has a medical condition that will cause a dilute <br />specimen, the employee's physician must provide medical <br />information in writing to the MRO for evaluation. <br />e. For DOT covered employees, Bowen will require the driver to be <br />re -tested if they have a diluted specimen and DOT protocol will be <br />followed for the re -test. <br />7. Invalid D,ruR Test Results <br />a. All specimens will undergo validity testing at the laboratory to <br />identify whether a specimen was tampered with. The employee <br />of a specimen that is confirmed to be adulterated or substituted <br />will be disciplined per Section 3.3D of this policy. If the specimen <br />is reported as invalid and is issued as a cancelled test, the <br />employee may be required to provide another specimen under <br />direct observation depending on the reason for the cancelled test. <br />The MRO will make the proper recommendation to Bowen after <br />the MRO review process has been completed. <br />8. Specimen Collection Problems <br />a. All employees will be afforded privacy for the urine collection <br />unless any of the situations listed below occur, and then the donor <br />will be required to submit to an immediate second collection <br />under direct observation. <br />The collector observes evidence of an employee's attempt <br />to tamper with a specimen, (e.g., collector observes <br />materials brought to the collection site or the employee's <br />conduct clearly indicates an attempt to tamper with a <br />specimen). <br />ii.
