• City of South Bend will provide floorplans of each building where wireless equipment is being installed into (electronic <br />preferred). <br />• City of South Bend will provide a list of SSIDs that should be available to users. <br />• City of South Bend will provide an expected window of time that changes can be made to the network including those <br />identified as disruptive. <br />• City of South Bend will provide a list of critical services that must be functional in order for testing to be considered <br />successful. <br />• NSI will apply labeling to equipment for easy identification as requested. <br />Hardware Installation <br />• City of South Bend will ensure timely access to the equipment installation area. Installation delays caused by access <br />restrictions may be billable on a per occasion instance. <br />• City of South Bend will provide lift access if required for high AP cabling or installation (if applicable). <br />• City of South Bend will provide DHCP services for any new networks that are created. <br />• City of South Bend will install and document the location of each access point by room number, name, and AP MAC <br />address. <br />• NSI will reconfigure the switching infrastructure with new VLANs for new wireless SSIDs (up to 4) on the switching <br />infrastructure. Further configuration of switches is outside the scope of this project unless otherwise specified. <br />Testin <br />City of South Bend will test access to their critical services identified in the testing plan. <br />• NSI will verify proper operation of the installed equipment as identified in the testing plan„ <br />Division of Labor— UPS <br />Equipment Deliver <br />• City of South Bend will designate a location for all ordered equipment to be delivered to. This location should provide <br />a secure temperate area for storage and staging of equipment. <br />• City of South Bend will transport equipment to each respective installation location, if the install location is at a <br />different address from the shipping location. <br />Project Preparation <br />• City of South Bend will verify any other equipment (servers, web filters, etc) that will be powered off for UPS <br />installation are adequately backed up and prepared to be shutdown. <br />• City of South Bend provide an expected window of time that UPS units can be installed. Network services will be <br />disrupted during this time. <br />• NSI will verify all devices that will be powered off for UPS installation have their current configuration saved as the <br />startup configuration. <br />Hardware Installation <br />• City of South Bend will shut down any other equipment (servers, web filters, etc) that will be powered off for UPS <br />installation. <br />• NSI will assemble the UPS units including installation of any rackmount hardware, batteries, and network <br />management cards included in the order. <br />• NSI will install new UPS units in the rack or on the floor as space is available. <br />www.nsil.com WHY we do is as important as WHAT we do (574) 271-0900 <br />
