INC. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91 <br />ON AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF HARRIS M.F.G. COMPANY, <br />LAND IN THE SAMPLE STREET REDEVELOPMENT AREA <br />WHEREAS Harris M.F.G. Company, Inc. by Howard F. Harris, its presi- <br />dent, has submitted a written offer meeting the approved minimum <br />price on Disposal Parcels commonly referred to as Nos. 7, 8, and 9, <br />Sample Street Redevelopment Project Indiana R -7; and <br />WHEREAS said property has been advertised for sale on August 20, <br />1964, and an offer for the purchase of the same was received and <br />opened at the time proposed for accepting sealed offers for the <br />purchase of said property; and <br />WHEREAS the South Bend Redevelopment Commission has determined that <br />Howard F. Harris, president of Harris M.F.G. Company, Inc., posses- <br />ses the qualifications and financial resources to acquire and develop <br />the land in accordance with the Urban Renewal Plan; and <br />WHEREAS <br />Inc. is <br />uses in <br />v1HEREAS <br />ten per <br />BE IT T1 <br />That sux <br />and HomE <br />0-resider <br />9 descri <br />the offer of 23.70 per square foot by Harris M.F.G. Company, <br />satisfactory and is not less than the fair market value for <br />accordance with the Urban Renewal Plan; and <br />said Redeveloper has deposited a check in the amount of $450, <br />cent. (10 %), or more, of the bid with said proposal, <br />EREFORE RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, <br />ject to the approval of the Regional Office of the Housing <br />Finance Agency of Region IV, the bid of Howard F. Harris, <br />t of Harris M.F.O. Company, Inc. for parcel, Nos. 1, 8, and <br />bed as follows: <br />Par el Nos. 7, 8, and 9, comprising a total of 18,859 square <br />fee , as shown on the recorded Plat of the "Inner Belt Industrial <br />Par a subdivision of the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, <br />for the <br />Adopted <br />held on <br />Colfax E <br />sum of $4,469,56 is hereby accepted, subject to Final Survey. <br />at a regular meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />September 17, 1964, at the office of the Commission, 129 West <br />,venue, South Bend, Indiana. <br />
