RESOLUTION NO, 100 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION APPROVING THE NONDISCRIMINATION REQUIRE- <br />MENTS UNDER THE CIVIL RIGHTS ACT OF 1964 (TITLE VI) <br />FOR PROJECT NO, INDIANA R -7 <br />WHEREA,15, under Title I of the Housing Act of 19491, as amended (herein <br />referred to as Title I), the Housing and Home Finance Administrator <br />is authorized to extend financial assistance to local public agencies <br />in the elimination and prevention of the spread of their slums and <br />urban blight through the planning and undertaking of urban renewal <br />projec s; and <br />WHEREAS, Title VT of the Civil nights Act of 19640 and the regulations <br />of the Housing and Home Finance Agency effectuating that Title, provide <br />that no person shall on the ground of race, color, or national origin, <br />be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or.be <br />subjec ed to discrimination in the undertaking and carrying out of <br />urban �`: newal projects assisted under Title I of the Housing Act of <br />1949, amended; <br />NOW, s EF09si BE IT R$SMVED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMI ION AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. <br />2. <br />That it recognizes and will comply with regulations and <br />requirements prohibiting discrimination applicable in <br />accord with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1949. <br />That the United States of America and the Housing and <br />Home Finance Administrator be, and they hereby are <br />assured of full compliance by the City of South Bend, <br />Department of Redevelopment with regulations of the <br />Housing and Home Finance Agency effectuating Title VI <br />of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. <br />/Y <br />I thisN4,th day of March, 1965. <br />
