men o <br />the fo <br />R -29 - <br />RESOLUTION NO, 106 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY BY CONDEMNATION <br />IN CHAPIN STREET PROJECT,, INDIANA R -29 <br />it is necessary by the Board of Commissioners of the Depart - <br />Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, Indiana to acquire <br />lowing real estate in the urban renewal area known as Indiana <br />Chapin Street Project Area in the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Parcel Number Corned by <br />1 -6 Joseph & Anna Rosenbaum <br />5 -2 Joseph Rosenbaum <br />WHEREAS the Department of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, <br />Indian .has made an effort to purchase the above described property <br />from the owners, but the Department and said owners have been unable <br />to agree as to the purchase price; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners of the Department <br />of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that they should <br />proceed to acquire the above - described parcels of real estate under <br />the power of eminent domain as described by the laws of the State of <br />Indiana in order to carry out the redevelopment plan, and their <br />attorney, Bruce Hammerschmidt, is directed to file a petition in the <br />name of the City of South Bend, Indiana on behalf of the Department <br />of Redevelopment in the appropriate Court of St. Joseph County, <br />Indiana in order that an appraiser be appointed to establish the value <br />of said real estate. <br />this 6th of May, 1965. <br />y" <br />
