<br />RESOLUTION CORRECTING DESCRIPTION AND PURCHASE 
<br />PRICE OF OFFER TO PURCHASE LAND IN THE SAMPLE 
<br />STREET INDIANA R -7 REDEVELOPMENT AREA UNDER 
<br />OFFER ORIGINALLY MADE BY CUMMINS ENGINE COMPANY, 
<br />INC. AND ASSIGNMENT TO SOUTH BEND LATHE, A 
<br />DIVISION OF AMSTED INDUSTRIES, INCORPORATED. 
<br />'HEREAS, Cummins Engine Company, Inc. of Columbus, Indiana, 
<br />d a written offer meeting the approved minimum price on disposal 
<br />>mmonly referred to as Number 6, Sample Street Redevelopment 
<br />, ndiana R -7, which was approved by the South Bend Redevelopment 
<br />;ion by appropriate resolution on October 15, 1964, and 
<br />WHEREAS, said Cummins Engine Company, Inc. has assigned its 
<br />right, title and interest in and to said written offer and real estate described 
<br />therein to South Bend Lathe, a division of Amsted Industries, Incorporated, 
<br />which as signment was approved by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission 
<br />by appr priate resolution on October 21, 1965, and 
<br />WHEREAS, an error has been discovered in the description of said 
<br />Parcel 6 in the Plat of the Inner Belt Industrial Park Subdivision to the City 
<br />of South Bend, which results in said Parcel 6 containing only 29, 587 square 
<br />feet instead of 42, 826 square feet, and 
<br />HEREAS, the offer for the purchase of said Parcel 6 was at the rate 
<br />of 58.6 per square foot, the total purchase price should be amended and re- 
<br />duced fr m $25,100.00 to $17,337.98, 
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the South Bend Redevelop- 
<br />ment Commission, subject to the approval of the Regional Office of the Housing 
<br />and Home Finance Agency of Region IV„ does hereby amend Resolution No. 93 
<br />approving the written offer of Cummins Engine Company, Inc. of Columbus, 
<br />Indiana, for the purchase of Parcel Number 6 in the Sample Street Redevelop- 
<br />ment Pr jest Indiana R -7, and does hereby further amend Resolution No. 113 
<br />approving the assignment of the Cummins Engine Company, Inc. of its right, 
<br />title and interest in and to said written offer and the real estate described 
<br />therein, to South Bend Lathe, a division of Amsted Industries, Incorporated, 
<br />by corr sting the description of the real estate therein contained in said reso- 
<br />lutions o that the description of said real estate will read as follows: 
<br />arcel Number 6 in the Inner Belt Industrial Park, a Sub - 
<br />ivision in the Southeast and Southwest Quarters of Section 11 
<br />.id the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, all in Township 37 
<br />orth, Range 2 East of the Second Principal Meridian, City 
<br />E South Bend, Indiana, the Plat of which is recorded in Plat 
<br />ook 21, Page I in the Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph 
<br />ounty, Indiana, excepting therefrom the West 30 feet of the 
<br />ast 40 feet of vacated Prairie Avenue, and containing 29,587 
<br />luare feet, more or less. 
<br />and further amends said Resolutions by providing that the total purchase price 
<br />for said above - described real estate shall be the sum of $17, 337.98 instead of 
<br />the sum of $25,100.00 as set out originally in said Resolutions. 
<br />E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the President and Secretary of the 
<br />South Bend Redevelopment Commission are hereby authorized and directed to 
<br />execute ontract for Sale of Land for Private Redevelopment, Part I ahid Part II 
<br />thereof, for the sale of said above - described real estate to South Bend Lathe, a 
<br />division of Amsted Industries, Incorporated, for the total purchase price of 
<br />$17,337.98, and to execute a proper and sufficient Quit -Claim Deed upon the 
<br />final co summation of the sale of the above - described real estate to South Bend 
<br />Lathe, division of Amsted Industries, Incorporated.
