RESOLUTION NO. 294 RESOLUTION RELATING TO ACQUISITION OF PROPERTY BY CONDEMNATION, IND. R -66, DOWNTOWN PROJECT WHEREAS it is deemed necessary by the Board of Commissioners of the Depart- ment of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, Indiana, in furtherance of the Urban Renewal Plan, to acquire the following real estate in the urban renewal area known as Ind. R -66 - Downtown Project, in the City of South Bend, Indiana: Parcel Number Owner Concurred -In Acquisition Price 1 -4 South Bend Parking Co. $21,070 1 -6 Samuel, Louis and Harry Coffman 91,400 4 -7 Rosbro Realty Corporation 34,135 4 -22 William J. and Lorraine G. Richey 15,335 5 -1 Leo and Monica Vavol 28,665 10 -4 Ralph A. and Nellie Grose 32,150 23 -8 Samuel & Olia Coffman 66,315 Louis R. & Ruth Anith Coffman Harry & Sarah R. Coffman 8 -5 Stanley A. Rosenstein, Trustee 44,017 under Louis and Harry Rosenstein Trust WHEREAS the Department of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, Indiana, has mad3 an effort to purchase the above described property from the owners, but the Department and said owners have been unable to agree as to the purchase price. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Executive Director cause a notice and final offer in writing to be made to each of the above owners at the respective concurred -in price, which final offer shall include an invitation to discuss the acquisition of owner's property with the Department of Redevelopment within ten (10) days from ma ling and a notification that Eminent Domain proceedings will be in- stitute immediately after said ten (10) day period of agreement cannot be reached on the purchase price within said ten (10) days.
