DEFREES, as Principal, and American Surety Compap vof New York, as Surety, did on the 29th. day of April, 1902, execute and deliver to the City of South Bend, Indiana, a certain bond in the penal sum of rive Hundred Forty-three ($543.00)D9llars, by the terms of which bond said Principal and said S Surety guaranteed to said City the maintenance &ad repair of a brick pavement on North Eddy Street from Washington Street to Alley first North of Colfax Avenue for a period of ten years from the date of said bend,viz: April 29th. 1902. AND, WHEREAS, said ten year period of maintenance and repair has ex - pi red, NOW ,THEREFORE, WE, the undersigned, the Board of Public Works of South Bend, Indiana ,acting for and on behalf of said City under authority duly con- ferred by law, do hereby release and discharge said Waivert H.
