Board of PublicWarke, <br />of the City of South Bend,Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: — <br />I respectfully report that L have tabulated the bids submitted on March <br />22nd. 1912 for the paving of Hydraulic Avenue and Find that Harry N. Barnes is. the: <br />lowest and best bidder upon Marion Block Brick laid upon a 5 inch Concrete foundation: <br />I therefore recommend that he be awarded the contract. <br />Respect fully, <br />1►m. S. Moore, <br />Adopted on April 9th. 1912. City Engineer. <br />FINAL .$ESOLUTI ON P <br />DESIGNATING KIND OF PAVEMENT TO BE LAID. a <br />WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend India <br />na, did <br />on the 22nd. day of March 1912, enter a preliminary order designating, vitrified brick <br />laid on a concrete foundation, and awarded the Contract to Harry N. Barnes,he being <br />the lowest and best bidder upon Marion Block Brick the same to be laid on Concrete <br />foundation on Hydraulic Avenue from La Salle Avenue to The East Race, there being no <br />petition filed asking for change of material: THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED,that the preliminary order is hereby confirmed and the afore <br />said street is hereby ordered paved with vitrified brickjM&rion Block. <br />OTTO.
