BILL NO. 17-19 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 10657-19 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br /> DEPARTMENTAL AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS IN 2019 OF $85,857 <br /> FROM GENERAL FUND (#101), $657,159 FROM PARKS & RECREATION FUND <br /> (#201), $28,150 FROM GIFT, DONATION, BEQUEST FUND (#217), $97,077 FROM <br /> HALL OF FAME DEBT SERVICE FUND (#313), $321,707 FROM 2018 FIRE ST#9 <br /> BOND DEBT SERVICE FUND (#350), $178,534 FROM PROFESSIONAL SPORTS <br /> DEVELOPMENT FUND (#377), $1,811,500 FROM COUNTY OPTION INCOME <br /> TAX FUND (#404), $3,300,000 FROM 2018 ZOO BOND CAPITAL FUND (#453), <br /> AND $70,000 FROM SMART STREETS BOND CAPITAL FUND (#753). <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2019 operating and capital budgets in <br /> 2018 (Ordinance#10615-18 passed on October 8, 2018), which included expenditures for <br /> various City operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for <br /> operational and capital expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services <br /> to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City <br /> of South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> Section I. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> passage by the Common Council and approval of the Mayor. <br />
