1968 (P <br />and reg <br />lar 137 <br />tion Gr <br />vi dual s <br />1968. <br />tion Ad <br />the Hou <br />RESOLUTION NO. 264 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, <br />GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF <br />REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN AMENDATORY <br />APPLICATION FOR THE MAKING OF ADDITIONAL RELOCATION CLAIM <br />PAYMENTS AS AUTHORIZED IN SECTION 114 OF THE HOUSING AND <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1968 AND AS SET FORTH IN HUD <br />CIRCULAR 1370.1 FOR INDUSTRIAL EXPANSION PROJECT, IND. R -56 <br />IEREAS, Section 114 (C) of the Housing and Urban Development Act of <br />iblic Law 90 -448) as it amends the Housing Act of 1949, and the rules <br />ilations prescribed by the Federal Government and set forth in Circu- <br />I.1 and Circular 1370.3, provide for the making of additional Reloca- <br />int Payments and Replacement Housing Payments to or on behalf of indi- <br />and families displaced from the project area on or after August 1, <br />lot to exceed $1,000 per family in the case of the Additional Reloca- <br />iustment Payments and not to exceed $5,000 per family in the case of <br />A ng Replacement Payments; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest that the carrying <br />out of the urban renewal project identified above, Additional Relocation <br />Adjustment Payments and Replacement Housing Payments be made in accordance <br />with and to the full extent permitted by law and the regulations governing <br />said Re ocation Adjustment Payments and Housing Replacement Payments, that <br />the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment avail itself of the <br />financial assistance pursuant to law for this purpose; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the South Bend Redevelopment Com- <br />mission Governing Body of the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelop- <br />ment, that an Amendatory Application on behalf of the City of South Bend, <br />Department of Redevelopment for an increase in the Loan and the Relocation <br />Grant to make the Additional Relocation Adjustment Payments and the Housing <br />Replacement Payments in accordance and to the full extent of the regulations <br />governing such payments is hereby approved, and the Executive Director of <br />the Commission is hereby authorized to execute and is directed to file such <br />Amendatory Application with the Department of Housing and Urban Development <br />and to provide such information and to furnish such documents as may be <br />requireo by said Department and to act as the authorized representative of <br />the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment. <br />Adopted at the Regular <br />held Ju a 6, 1969, at <br />LaSalle Avenue, Suite <br />(SEAL) <br />ATTEST: <br />Meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />the Office of the Redevelopment Commission, 120 West <br />1001, South Bend, Indiana 46601. <br />BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT <br />
