RESOLUTION NO. 255 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RELEASE OF REDEVELOPER'S OBLIGATION FOR MR. ANDERSON JONES FOR LAND IN THE LASALLE PARK URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT, IND. R -57 WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held a public offe ing of land for sale on April 11, 1968 for certain parcels within the aSalle Park Urban Renewal Project, Ind. R -57, and following said public offering, Mr. Anderson Jones of 312 South Liberty Street bid for larcel No. 15 -17, which bid was accepted by the Redevelopment Corm ssion, and Redevelopment Agreement has been signed for said parc l; and WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission has received a peti ion in writing from Mr. Anderson Jones, dated March 3, 1969, re- questing that his bid for the above - mentioned parcel of land be with- drawn and that he be relieved of all responsibilities for the develop- ment thereof; and that the Redevelopment Agreement be declared null and void, and that the good faith deposit deposited by him be returned to him in full; and WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission has determined that it would be in the best interest of the objectives of the Urban Rene al Plan to approve the withdrawal of the bid by Mr. Anderson Jone for the aforementioned parcel. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the South Bend Redevelopment Commission approves the withdrawal of the bid of Mr. Anderson Jones for Parc 1 No. 15 -17 and further approves relieving Mr. Anderson Jones of all responsibilities as developer for said parcel under the Urban Re- newal Plan; and hereby declares the Redevelopment Agreement executed they fore null and void; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the South Bend Redevelopment Commission here )y approves the refund of the good faith deposit made by Mr. Anderson Jones in full. Adopted at a regular meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission held on March 7, 1969, at the Office of the Commission, 120 West LaSalle Avenue, Suite 1001, South Bend, Indiana.
