RESOLUTION NO. 245 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, GOVERNING <br />BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN AMENDATORY APPLICATION TO INCREASE <br />THE LOAN AND REHABILITATION GRANT FOR THE MAKING OF REHABILITATION <br />GRANT PAYMENTS UNDER SECTION 115 OF THE HOUSING ACT OF 1949, AS <br />AMENDED FOR PROJECT, IND. R -57 <br />WHEREAS, Section 115 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, and the <br />ruleE and regulations prescribed by the federal government thereto, <br />provide for the making of Rehabilitation Grant Payments to or on.behalf <br />of individuals and families for the purpose of rehabilitating property <br />within the project area not to exceed $3,000 per family; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the public interest that in carrying <br />out of the urban renewal project identified above, Rehabilitation Grant <br />Payments be made in accordance with and to the full extent permitted by <br />law and the regulations governing Rehabilitation Grant Payments, that <br />the ity of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment avail itself of the <br />financial assistance pursuant to law for this purpose; <br />OW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend Redevelopment <br />Commission, Governing Body of the City of South Bend, Department of <br />Redevelopment, that an Amendatory Application on the behalf of the City <br />of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment for an increase in the Loan <br />and the Rehabilitation Grant to make Rehabilitation Grant Payments in <br />accordance with and to the full extent permitted by law and the regulations <br />governing Rehabilitation Grant Payments is hereby approved, and the <br />Executive Director of the Commission is hereby authorized to execute <br />and is directed to file such Amendatory Application with the Department <br />of Housing and Urban Development and to provide such additional information <br />and to furnish such documents as may be required by said Department and <br />to a as the authorized representative of the City of South Bend, Depart- <br />ment of Redevelopment. <br />Adopted at the regular meeting of the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />held January 2, 1969 at the office of the Redevelopment Commission, <br />120 West LaSalle Avenue, Suite 1001LSh Be nd, Indiana <br />(SEAL Donald A.
