Part ject and RESOLUTION NO. 243 RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT FOR SALE OF CERTAIN DISPOSITION PARCELS IN THE URBAN RENEWAL CENTRAL DOWNTOWN PROJECT, INDIANA R -66 WHEREAS, the United States of America has approved I of the Application for Loan and Grant for a certain pro - identified as the Central Downtown Project, Indiana R -66, WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the Depa tment of Redevelopment, will enter into a Capi al Grant Contract with the Government for City of South Bend, certain Loan and said project, and WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of South Bend has zpproved the Urban Renewal Plan of said project, which provides for certain municipal parking structures to be constructed in said project area, and further that the Common Council of the City of South Bend has authorized the execution of a contract for purchase Of Certain disposition parcels in said project as hereinafter de- scri ed and have authorized the Mayor and the City Clerk to execute said agreement, and WHEREAS, the United States of America has requested assu ance that the municipal parking structures will be constructed in a cordance with the Urban Renewal Plan, and WHEREAS, an agreement between the City of South Bend and the lepartment of Redevelopment has been submitted to the Commis- sion for its approval, which provides for the purchase and construc- tion of municipal parking structures on land within said project area and more particularly described in said agreement, all subject to the successful sale of revenue bonds for the financing of the purchase of land and construction of said municipal parking struc- tures. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Commission of the City of South Bend, that the proposed agreement betty en the City of South Bend and the Department of Redevelopment providing for the sale of real estate described in said agreement and for the construction of municipal parking structures thereon by the City of South Bend is hereby approved, and the President and the Secretary of the Redevelopment Commission are hereby authorized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the Redevelopment Com- mission.
